Letter from the Superintendent - Oct 1, 2021
Posted on 10/01/2021

Dear Chester Academy Community,

I am sending this letter to you to inform you that one of our 1st grade students has tested positive for COVID-19.  After consultation with the NH Division of Public Health Services, it has been determined that there were no close contacts at school and no chance of school exposure because the student was last in school on Thursday, September 23, 2021.

The community transmission level for COVID-19 in Chester remains at the Substantial level so we continue to ask for your help to prevent COVID-19 from impacting our school community. COVID-19 is most commonly spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person talks, coughs, sneezes or sings.  Please do not send your child to school if they have any new or unexplained symptoms of COVID-19 this includes even mild symptoms or if someone in their household has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the prior 14 days. Please report any symptoms or exposure to the school nurse.

Thank you again for your partnership in keeping our students safe, healthy, and in-person this school year.

Sincerely,

Sharon Locke
