Dear Chester Educational Community,

We received notification today that a staff member has tested positive with COVID-19. This staff member was last in the building on Wednesday. Close contacts have been notified of the possible exposure and following protocol as prescribed by the CDC and NHDHHS they were asked to move immediately into quarantine.

Due to the nature of this individual’s work, two staff members are among those who must now quarantine. The absence of these three staff members next week will necessitate that the 6 th grade in-person cohort will be working remotely. Parents of these students will receive follow up from the school on this matter.

We look forward to our staff member having a quick recovery. We also look forward to the return of those quarantined due to this situation.

We continue to request all those in our educational community to be vigilant with regard to mitigation strategies. Please continue to wear masks, keep 6 feet of physical distance when out and about, and practice good hand hygiene.

Should you have specific questions about the status of our school operations, or any specific concerns for your student, please do not hesitate to contact me or Principal Lacroix. We will continue to do our best to provide you with up to date information.

Sincerely,

Darrell J. Lockwood, Ed.D.
