Dear Chester Academy Families -
As we prepare for upcoming winter weather, I wanted to ensure that our families are aware of our winter weather procedures.
There are many factors that go into the decision to cancel, delay, or release school early due to weather events including time of storm, road conditions, possible power interruptions, and more. At all times, the central consideration is for the safety of our students and staff. Decisions are made in conjunction with information and input from the Town of Chester (police, fire, road agent), Pinkerton Academy, and our bus company. When possible, the decision will be made the night before to allow for as much notice as possible.
For any closure, delay, or early release, we will notify families via School Messenger by phone, text, and email. We will also post to WMUR-TV Channel 9, our Facebook page and our website. For more detailed information on inclement weather options, please see our Chester Academy Inclement Weather Plan.
I appreciate your understanding as we navigate the winter season together. Should you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Christine Landwehrle
